Museum Van Loon in Amsterdam

On our recent trip to Amsterdam, we enjoyed many museums. On our last day we visited the Museum Van Loon.

The house was built in 1672 and was rented to Ferdinand Bol, Rembrandt’s famous students.

150 portraits tell the story of the Van Loon family. The Van Loon family were co founders of the Dutch East India Company.

The interior of this museum, a former home, was beautiful with quite large rooms. The furnishings and crystals were exquisite.

This museum was once a home so it has a beautiful garden

We spent a very lovely time in the Museum Van Loon
