Our New Neighborhood Pub
One of our neighbors built his own pub. Kjell. Kjell came to our rescue with his big machinery, when we had a terrible storm a few years back that took most of our trees out front. They don’t live very far away, so in true country Swedish style, we walked to the new pub.
When we arrived, it was absolutely beautiful. We spent a wonderful Spring evening enjoying all of our closest neighbors. We lucked out with nice weather to be able to sit outside and enjoy friends.
This new pub sits proudly on a hill
When I said we lucked on the weather, that didn’t mean sunshine and warmth of Spring. As with every Swedish Spring, we were a bit cold
There’s our straw supplier on the left. Malin who lives on the same property as her family, stores her beautiful motorcycle at Gullringstorp over the winter months
Our hostess on the right, Kjell’s wife
Kenneth who empties our septic tank joins the conversation and has a smoke
Just like at Bosse’s Pub, there is no smoking inside the pub
It’s customary in this area to bring a gift for the hostess and they are displayed on the treat table. We brought eggs from our hens
Here is the treat table with gifts from some of the guests and there are our eggs
This is the bar area of our new neighbor Pub. There sits a can of hot dogs that are traditionally served toward the end of the evening
There is a nice supply of beer (öl) for those who enjoy beer
Two neighbors, catching up
Bosse enjoying being a guest at the new Pub!
My husband on the left and our neighbor who is a fireman and also a farmer with his father. They supply our goats with oats
Everyone is having a fine time
The ladies catch up on the local happenings and enjoying a hot dog
Look closely at the hands! What do you see? Hot Dogs !!!!
My husband is enjoying a cup of wine and a hot dog
All you could think to put on your hot dog is available at the bar
My husband decide to man the bar for a while!
Just look at the beautiful “burn” work on t he ceiling wood
Still a bit cool outside but sitting outside was no issue. Malin’s son sits near the man smoking. We had a lovely chat, he and I.
Our hostess, Kjell’s wife
This the father of Magnus the fireman and oats supplier. He and his wife love to come by to enjoy the goats

It was a lovely evening. We all enjoyed each other’s company and the new Pub was beautiful and really cozy. I hope to spend many more pleasant evenings there.
