Pet of the Day : Max

This post is dedicated to our little dog Max.

Max is a Brussels Griffon, also known as Griffon Bruxellois or even Griffon Belge. This breed has its origins in Belgium and is a breed developed by combining 3 other breeds of dog. This breed is a cross between a Pug, King Charles Spaniel and Affenpinscher. They are small dogs, not so tiny to fit in a handbag but they are considered a sturdy toy breed. They have a noticeable undershot jaw, short nose and piercing lustrous eyes. They have a pout that gives them an almost human expression. These dogs are so very friendly, enjoy lots of snuggle time and are one of the most emotionally sensitive dogs you can find.

Our little Max is so happy when we go out that people who would ordinarily never stop to speak  find themselves  stopping dead in their tracks and actually getting down on their knees to meet our Max.  His cheery disposition has brought many smiles to people  who meet him, here in Sweden. It is a wonderful thing to witness. I love to see the effect he has on people;  women, men and children alike. Be brings joy where ever he goes. He certainly makes me very happy and I just have to laugh at his cute little body and antics.

About 5 stairs up and that's as far as one little fellow can go. Now he can't go up and he can't get down. What's a tiny fellow to do? Mommy to the rescue!.

Here we can see the beginning of Little MAx's habit of letting his chew bone just sit in his mouth as he looks around. This is when I started to refer to him as Winston. He still walks around or just sits with a bone hanging from his lips as if it were a cigar.

    • Hej from Sweden,
Thanks Cee !! I am glad you enjoyed my post about our little Max. He is just the most friendly dog I have ever had and just so loving. It took Tasha a while, but she eventually warmed up to him, but wait till you see M;ax and our cat Pip. They are like to little boys wrestling all the time.
You are most welcome back for more adventures with Max.
